Welcome to another super powerful edition of The Power Of Marketing!

On this opportunity, I wanted to tell you guys about a simple strategy that not a lot of people are implementing, and that it can skyrocket your income online.

You see, the biggest mistake I see people making when it comes to making money with their online businesses is that they don’t follow their visitor around.

If you think about it, the most expensive visitor is the first visitor.

Meaning that, every time someone visits your page, you’re paying the most for that visitor (even if you’re doing SEO or that visitor came from an organic or “free” source).

The difference between a 6 figure company and a 7 figure company is how much you’re following their visitors around, once they’ve visited their funnel.

For example, here’s a quick screenshot of a campaign I’ve been running for the past 30 days or so.

While we’re spending around $3,000-$4,000 per day on ads (and wanting to scale that), our “cold” campaigns are the ones that bring new traffic to this funnel.

And while we’re making money on these cold campaigns, our “retargeting” campaigns are the ones that are killing it.

So if you add up what we’re making on the retargeting campaigns plus what we’re making on the cold campaigns, we have around a 2:1 ROI for the past 30 days, meaning that for every $1 we spend, we make $2 back.

Total spent: $97,021.01
Total revenue: $186,430.00

This is the last 30 days and we still need to account for refunds, etc. So it’s not profit. But having a 2:1 ROI from cold advertising is not bad.

As you can see, the heavy lifting is being made by the retargeting campaign!

Granted, this campaign wasn’t born like this. There’s a powerful funnel behind it. But you can see the potential and the idea behind this retargeting strategy.

You can start where you are with what you have and start getting somewhat similar results.

What Are The Best Type Of Retargeting Campaigns To Run

A while ago, I made a video about the best type of custom audiences to create when you’re trying to get everyone that visit your website in a different “bucket”.

That video will give you an understanding of the type of audiences you need to be creating in order for this to work.

However, let’s see what are the best type of retargeting audiences and campaigns you can run when it comes to Facebook ads.

Cart Abandonment Campaigns

Whatever you’re selling online, you have a shopping cart.

Maybe it’s not a “e-commerce like” shopping cart, but if you sell your services and have a contact form, that’s considered a shopping cart in my mind.

If you have a funnel, you can replace shopping cart with “Order Form”, but it’s still the same thing.

At the end of the day, you want to target people that have reached your order form, but for whatever reason they haven’t taken action.

This is by far the easiest and most profitable retargeting campaign you could run right now, since people are super hot for your product. They just need a little “push”.

Sales Page Visitors

The next best campaign that you can run has to do with people that visit your Sales Page.

If you think about it, they need to go through a process in order for them to reach your sales page. So retargeting them with Facebook ads is a must.

You can offer them some sort of discount or free trial in order to test your product or service, but try not to do this from the get-go (otherwise you’ll be discounting the value of your product right away).

This should be just a reminder of how awesome your product is and why they need to get it.

All Website Visitors

Once you’ve gone through the Sales Page Visitors retargeting, you can pretty much target anyone that has visited your website.

This is great for 2 reasons:

Number 1, you’ll be on top of mind. Meaning that if they managed to visit your website and didn’t take action, you can entice them to do so by giving them some free stuff.

Number 2, because these people are already interested in what you have to offer. Most normal folks don’t take action right away.

Rather, they need some time to “think about it”. That is how most of normal human beings think and act!

So by targeting all of your website visitors with a free offer, you can definitely get them deeper in your funnel.

Video Viewers + Engagers

Last but not least, we have Video Viewers and engagers.

I love these type of retargeting campaigns because they allow you to build a really big audience with a lot of good will behind them pretty fast.

In Facebook’s terms, everyone that watches a video on your page, like a post, comments or share, is an engager.

If you’re leading with quality videos and quality material, there’s no reason why you cannot build a really big audience fast and retarget these folks with something amazing (like a free PDF or something like that).

I’m pretty sure I’m leaving a lot of super juicy audiences out of the equation right here, but this should be enough to get you started and get you going.

And if you have additional audiences that you’re using in terms of retargeting, make sure you mention them on the Facebook group!
