How To Use Stories Ads In Your Marketing

Hey hey hey! Welcome to another powerful edition of The Power Of Marketing!

Today, we’re going to be focusing a lot on social media, specifically on how to use Story ads for your marketing.

IG stories have been around for a little bit now, but not so long ago, Facebook started opening the game to placing ads in Facebook stories as well.

Granted, Facebook stories were not as crazy tool like IG Stories, but they still work really well.

In fact, some sources have told me that Facebook is planning to go deep and hard into stories next year.

So it’d be a good idea to actually enhance your game when it comes to using stories.

But the question is, how do you leverage them?

Here’s that this article for! Let’s dive right into them!

A World Of Stories

Stories have a format that’s different from anything else.

They’re 100% vertical, following a 16:9 aspect ratio (or 1600px by 900px).

Now, when it comes to Stories Ads, that’s another story (no pun intended).

In fact, they can only be 15 seconds long, so you need to use your time wisely.

I’ve used a great deal of IG stories ads when it came to retargeting and re engaging some audiences, so they work great!

For example, I’ve used them to get people to download my FB ads cheatsheet.

The game on FB Stories is pretty similar, since you can place stories on that placement too!

They’re also 15 seconds long (maximum) and that’s why I think it’s great to have stories running as retargeting ad.

For example, let’s say that someone clicks on an ad but doesn’t purchase.

Or someone watches a video from you on Facebook, but doesn’t visit your website.

It’d be a great idea to create an audience with these folks and retarget them with your IG/FB Stories!

Because they’re so short (15 seconds), it’s hard to explain to people what’s actually going on with your ad.

So I like using either videos or long “blog posts” on Facebook, helping people and having some sort of CTA…

And then retarget if they don’t take action on my stuff.

Bottom line: Use more of your stories in your ads because they work amazingly well as a retargeting asset!
